About Collierville Virtual Academy

The Collierville Virtual Academy provides an asynchronous teaching and learning model for grades 4-12. Instruction takes place through the Village Virtual platform.

What is asynchronous learning? Asynchronous learning allows students to learn and work at their own pace. Students can access assignments, instructional videos, readings, and other learning materials at any time. This learning modality provides students with a flexible schedule, allowing them to submit work at any time within the submission deadline. Attendance is reflected through coursework completion; therefore, students are required to stay on pace in all courses. Staying on pace means no missing assignments. Students with missing assignments are counted absent and in some cases may be required to report to the CVA in person to get back on track.  Students will be supported through multiple modalities, including teacher feedback and support, phone calls, text, video & audio feedback, and virtual meetings. CVA’s school counselor and administration are also available to support our families as needed!
