It is our goal to create a positive learning experience that supports social-emotional well-being and academic achievement.
Our Beliefs
- Students are unique and deserve equal and equitable access to a quality education.
- Families deserve options allowing them to choose the learning environment that best meets the needs of their child(ren).
- Flexible scheduling and a self-work pace best suit the lifestyle of some families making it possible for students to travel, have a job, participate in the arts/elite athletics, and/or be involved in activities that demand a lot of time.
- Virtual learning can remove social stressors for some students allowing them to focus their attention on learning.
- Parents should take an active role in their child’s education. As students learn how to manage their time and become active participants in their own learning, parental guidance and support is needed to ensure success in the Collierville Virtual Academy.
- A traditional brick-and-mortar school may not meet the unique needs of all students. Likewise, a virtual educational setting is not best for all students. While the Collierville Virtual Academy is the perfect fit for some students, it is not the best placement for all. We encourage our families to reflect upon their needs and weigh out the pros and cons of a virtual learning environment before they apply for the Collierville Virtual Academy.
